Swarm Trap DIY Kit - Holds 6 Layens Frames

Light weight & easy to take up and down ladders but durable and made to last. This plywood swarm trap holds 6 Layens frames. Catch just one swarm and it's paid for itself!

Easy to assemble with basic woodworking skills in approx :30 minutes for a fun DIY project. The frames are unassembled with 1-3/8" top bar width rather than the standard 1-1/2" because bees prefer a tighter brood space. Included are popsicle sticks as starter for the bees to draw natural comb rather than wax foundation.

A wood dowel, wire or fishing line can be run across the mid point of the frames for stability if used in an extractor. Recommended tools: air stapler, drill to cut entrance hole, T-50 hand stapler, Tight Bond 3 wood glue.
